Dental Assistants & Hygienists Dental assistants and hygienists are very much in demand with growth of over 30% through to 2016. Dental assistants usually receive their training at a Community or Technical College and Hygienists typically have at least a batchelor's degree. Dental Assistants typically earn $35,000 and Hygienists can earn $65,000 or more.
